Before you begin, ensure that you have some quality lube – preferably some that is made especially for ass play. Rule Number One is this: Do NOT be stingy with the lube. You must use it liberally in order for it to provide the ease and comfort that it is intended to do. While I personally prefer and use only J-Lube, a lube that comes in powder form to which water must be added until the desired consistency is achieved, there are several excellent lubes –including Gun Oil and Boy Butter- on the market produced with ass play in mind. Once you have your lube in hand, you are ready to prepare yourself for your role as the receiving end. (Pun very much intended!!)

In order to have this experience be as much as team effort as possible, allow your partner to do the lube honors – or at least have her help you. You will want to lube your waiting hole in at least (in my opinion) in a full two inch radius all the way around and out from the center. For those of you who are unaware, I have a very large and deep garden tub, which I love and where I spend an inordinate amount of time. One of my preoccupations while in the bath is playing with my tub toys – better known as my deliciously large sex accoutrements – and, on the evening in question, I was immersed in my tub with some of favorites. Oil-based lubes have been around a long time. However, they have lost a good bit of popularity since the silicone-based stuff has hit the market in the last decade or so. An oil-based lube is going to have a considerably thicker feel to it at first, although this wanes a bit as it starts to become rubbed into things and then elicits some friction. Generally, in order to obtain a good feel with an oil-based product, you’ll need to be a bit generous with it – but this doesn’t mean you should be taking a bath in it. Remember, you’ll have to clean up at some point. Speaking of clean-up, oil-based lubes will stain many fabrics rather easily and does not wash off the skin without focused effort. Oil-based lubes make for a great massage oil, and this seems to be the high-point of current usefulness.

So… Let’s do a run-down of the basics before getting into the nitty of the not-so-gritty.  Lube generally comes in three varieties: water-based, oil-based, and silicone-based (which happens to be a favorite of mine). Given the various ingredients used in the aforementioned substances (which will depend on manufacturer) and the precise line of products they offer -if you have not given anything a test-run- it may be advisable to obtain some small sample packs in order that you may be aware of potential reactions your skin may have to the slippage-inducing formula you have chosen. Most people will not have any adverse reactions to any type of lube. However, this falls again into the category of something you don’t want to discover at the wrong moment. Be sure you do your homework and are fully prepared for the fun.
