Winners Of My Sissy Halloween Contest: Congratulations Girls!

Stop The Purging!: Part Four

I want you to remember –and reiterate this to yourself: There is nothing wrong with you. You are NOT abnormal. Whether you have a preference on dressing rarely, occasionally or very regularly, your dressing does not in and of itself mean you are gay or want to be a girl. It is simply something you enjoy that is an external manifestation of part of who you are. Dressing is a way you express that softer, gentler female side of yourself that balances out, complements or enhances your masculine side. (Yes, my pets. We ALL have both masculine and feminine components of our personalities. They are just stronger in some of us than in others.)

The next time you feel the need to purge, stop yourself long enough to ask what you legitimately think you are going to accomplish. Ask yourself if you really think it will work – on this twentieth attempt. Examine what may be leading you to this drive to purge right now. Very carefully consider the cold, hard fact that you can destroy and/or throw away every piece of lingerie and clothing you have, but you cannot so easily toss aside the contents of your mind and essential parts of who you are.

Finally, you are overpowered, and it feels as though a dam has broken. Now, you must start anew because you have nothing readily available in which to dress. You knew this was going to happen –yet again!- but you just had to attempt the futile, which led right back to this same moment of déjà vu.

Are you recognizing yet the cycle of behavior I am describing? I know you are because many of you have told me that what I have detailed is precisely what you experience – each and every time you follow the cycle through its phases. You tell me that you purge, you eventually regret it, and you swear to yourself that you will not do it again because you know you will only go back to square one.

So… You purge, and you go into denial. Denial is a very powerful mechanism, one with which we can convince ourselves works very effectively and solves our problem (s). However, denying and avoiding your inclinations does not mean they are gone; you have simply buried them temporarily.

Well-cloaked within the illusory safety of denial, you attempt to go about your business, feeling that you have conquered your need to slip into a matching bra and panty set, stockings, heels, and/or some fabulous outfit. You initially brandish a feeling of victory because you are now behaving only as you “should.” You have won the battle, and dressing for you has become a thing of the past… a transient phase… some temporary experimentation… Or has it? You believe this until some stimulus triggers those longings…

Maybe it happens when you pass by a Victoria’s Secret shop in the mall. Perhaps you feel that certain twinge when you’re watching a movie, and some actress breezes across the screen in a stunning pink babydoll and matching panties.
